5. Social issues

In the book i'm reading, The Help, we can clearly see a lot of social issues, as inequality, lack of human rights, disrespect, misuse of power. But the social issue that is most notable is the Inequality one.. We can see the big difference in the life of the white ladies and the black ones. The white ones things they have all the power and all the answer, and that black people are dumb and not as good as white people. We can see this so clearly in the whole book, specially becuse is a book that wants to tell us that story, how different black people were treatened back int ime. And all they suffer to get the same rights. Reading this book, I started to realize that inequality was really a serious problem in the past. The book just opened my eyes for what I couldn't see.

4. Significance of. . .

I'm reading, The Help by Kathryn Stockett, and this book tells the story of the black maids that used to work in the white ladies house. An important element in this story is the conversation at Ms.Leefolt's house, when the white ladies discuss about constructing a washroom, just for the black maids, outside their house. It is an important part,  because this is what later will motivate a fight between the characters.
Another important part is when Ms Skeeter talk to Minnie to try to convince her that she should help writing the book. Is an important event cause in the end we realize that the stories are being told by Minnie and her friends. And is the maids point of view. In the end of the story you realize how bad they were treated and how terrible it was for them in that time.
