Flash Fiction

 A week

The year is 1897, in the ship you can a see a beautiful young woman, with her 18 or 19 years. He can see her through the window. With a curious face, you can tell he is older than the beautiful young woman. He loses his fear and walk to her! "Can I tell you that the bow of a ship it is not the best place to stay, unless you want to get a cold ? " Said the man without love.
"You can tell me whatever you want, I just don't know if I want to listen to you!" Replied the beautiful young woman.
I can tell that somebody here it is startint to get nervous
and I can tell that there are men that really doesnt unederstand when I woman wants to be alone.
It's a dangerous place to stay alone, in a ship, at night, my lady.
She turned around and started walking to the small, ugly and stinking reastaurant in the ship. He falled her, and grab her arm before she could reach the door. "I think you should be more polite. Let's start again, I pay you a drink, and you tell me what takes you to London."
She looked at his face. A scary face. A sad face. She notice he was older than her, maybe 30, with blue beautiful eyes, but they looked sad! He forgot to shave this morning and maybe yesterday! Before she could resist, scream or say no, she was sitting in a table with the man. He had already ordered a drink, and was starring at her.
"So, what brings you here?", asked the man
"Maybe a rude man who took me off of the cold."
"Oh, that's not the best way to start a conversation."
"What are you doing in this ship ?"
"I'm going to London". He starred at her. She was thinking how stupid this is, after all, everybody there is going to London.
"Well, it's a long trip." she said.
"A good company may be good, right ?"
She didn't want to talk to him. But starring at his blue eyes, she couldn't resist.
"I'm going to meet my father. He said he have big plans for me." Said the blue eyes man.
They were drinking a good red wine, when the music started to play.
"Dance with me!" Said the young lady. The old man starred at her, this was not common of ladies, to ask a man out. Maybe that is why she is going to London, she got in trouble with some man, or maybe with her dad. Old people are more conservative. She dropped his sleeve and took him to the dance floor.
Looking at his eyes, she could feel how much he had suffered in his life, and she fell sorry for him! She needed to do something to help him! Dance with him all night could be a good idea!
The rest of the trip was calm, they met each other everyday for breakfast and they used to dance every night.
But soon, they were in their destinations, last night on the ship was a big party.
"And I still don't know why are you coming to London", said the sad, not so sad anymore, .
"I don't know either", replied the young lady. "I am coming to marry a guy my father arranged to me..." She sad with a tear in her eyes.
He looked at her, with a surprise face. She was so upset and there was nothing he could do for her.
"I really like you", she said before kiss him, and turn around to go get her luggage in the cabin.
He stood there, waiting for her, thinking about everything they had.
They were in land, he was falling her with his eyes, and he saw her, going to a carriage, with a sad face. He started to run to the carriage. She suddenly turned around, she looked at him, and for a minute she realized that what she really wanted was to not get married and to run away with the sad, not to sad anymore, guy.
"I love you. I spent one week with you and you changed my life. Don't go with your father, go with me!"
She looked at him, grabbed her things in the carriage and started to walk away.
"Tell my father my ship crashed and everybody died, please."
"Yes, madame, you were born to be happy, not to follow your dad's rule."said the carriage driver.

They turned around and started walking to the next ship, the one that is leaving now.
